07301 - Black Olive Ornamental Pepper Capsicum annuum
2012 AAS Winner! AAS judges proclaimed this ornamental pepper was a standout, especially in southern gardens where heat was an issue in the 2011 trials. All season long the plants, which grow 18 to 20 inches tall and 12 to 15 inches wide, maintained their upright habit, nicely draping leaves and dark purple/black fruit. Beginning as light purple flowers, the peppers grow in small clusters along the stems, maturing to red as the summer progresses to provide beautiful contrast against the dark purple foliage. This multi-use ornamental can be used as a border plant, a color splash in containers or as a cut flower in mixed bouquets. The fruits are edible, but are fiery hot so should be handled with care. Length of time from sowing seed to flowering is approximately 98 days. TMV resistant.
