2014 AAS Winner. The bush-type growth habit of this dual-purpose cucumber makes it perfect for growing in containers or smaller gardens where space is limited. Vines spread only 24 inches, yet produce an average of 10 to 12 fruits per plant. Pick them small for processing as pickles or let them grow into long, straight, 7 to 8 inch cucumbers for fresh slices or spears. They have dark green skin and flesh that is crisp with mild, sweet flavor. An added bonus is the disease resistance or tolerances to CMV, Scab, Anthracnose and Powdery Mildew, traits which are especially valuable in warmer climates where comparison varieties in AAS trials succumbed to late season diseases. Keep fruits picked to extend the harvest season.
