Pepper, Sweet, Kaptur Hybrid
#H02858
82 days. Large, uniformly shaped, kapia-type fruits are firm, grow approx. 7½" long by 2½" wide, mature from green to a rich, deep red and have an excellent quality. Horn-shaped fruits are 2 to 3-lobed, weigh up to 7 oz., have thick, meaty walls, are very crunchy and have a light, sweet flavor similar to that of a bell pepper. Stores well without losing quality or flavor as fruits have a high dry matter content. A versatile type that originated from Turkey where it was used for paprika production. Strong, vigorous plants have medium to long internodes and provide good leaf coverage to protect fruits against sunscald. An excellent choice for home gardeners and does very well in containers. Great for both open field and high tunnel production and it's also adaptable to multiple growing windows with good hot and cold setting ability. Good shipper. Highly resistant to Tobamo Virus. High yields.
